Amy Jackson was introduced by director Vijay in Kollywood through the film Madrasapattinam.She has also acted in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya directed by Gowtham Menon.
This film is titled Ek Deewana Thaa. There was news that Bala would be signing Amy Jackson for his film.When asked Amy Jackson about this, she said, "There are rumours in Bollywood that I am in love with Prateik with whom I have paired with in the film Ek Deewana Thaa.
He is not only a dedicated actor but also a good friend of mine. It was a very good experience for me to act with him. I made my debut as heroine through the Tamil film Madrasapattinam directed by Vijay.
Now I have donned the role which Trisha did in the Tamil film Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya in the Hindi version. I gave acted in that film without knowing Hindi.
But I was able to skillfully speak the dialogues and act in it. Next year I am pairing with Vikram in Thandavam directed by Vijay. There are rumours that I am acting in the film directed by Bala."
